Charles A. Gilman, Esquire
Mr. Gilman is the founding member of the firm. His practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on automobile accidents, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence and abuse, slip and falls, personal injury, other torts and matters involving catastrophic injuries. Mr. Gilman also handles professional malpractice claims against other lawyers and financial advisors. Mr. Gilman tries an average of forty contested cases per year before judges and juries in the mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Gilman distinguished himself as the lead member of a trial team that resolved a catastrophic injury case in Maryland in excess of five million dollars. He has also successfully litigated cases against multinational businesses resulting in significant recoveries for his clients. Mr. Gilman has served as general counsel to various corporations that operate in several states. In his capacity as general counsel Mr. Gilman represented the businesses in a range of regulatory, corporate and litigation related issues. Mr. Gilman has been selected as a Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list. Mr. Gilman graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is admitted to practice in State and Federal Courts in Maryland, Pennsylvania, District of Columbia and New York.
Lauren Geisser, Esquire
Ms. Geisser is an associate at The Law Offices of Charles A. Gilman, L.L.C. Her practice focuses on automobile accidents, slip and fall accidents as well as other personal injury matters. Ms. Geisser has litigated real estate, commercial, environmental, collection and construction matters. Ms. Geisser also handles transactional needs for corporate clients and estate matters for individuals. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Geisser worked for the Law Offices of Peter G. Angelos, P.C. in their environmental litigation department. Ms. Geisser graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law. While there, Ms. Geisser was a member of the nationally ranked trial team as well as an Asper Fellow to the Hon. Susan K. Guavey in the United States District Court of Maryland. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Geisser worked as an engineer with a focus in construction, hydraulics, and hydrology. Her Bachelorette of Science is from the Pennsylvania State University. She is admitted to practice in State and Federal Courts in Maryland.
Mike Faust, Law Clerk
Mike Faust is a law clerk with the firm. He has completed his first year of law school at University of Baltimore School of Law. Mike earned a 3.474 GPA in his first year of law school. Prior to attending law school, Mike attended University of Pennsylvania and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and University. While an undergrad, Mike played varsity football and was the captain of the varsity wrestling team at Virginia Tech. Prior to working with the firm, Mike gained significant experience managing people as a project manager for a major Baltimore area electrical contractor. Mike assists the firm with client matters including research, the drafting of pleadings, discovery and trial prep.
Sara Delman, Litigation Paralegal
Sara Delman came to our firm in 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in paralegal studies and six (6) years of experience. Sara is the main point of contact between the attorneys, clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel. She vigorously works on client’s files from the beginning of the Litigation Process until Trial and/or settlement of the case. She investigates and works with client’s to draft the complaint, coordinate depositions, answer discovery requests, and prepare clients and their file for trial. She manages calendar dates and court deadlines in all litigation cases. She has extensive knowledge in personal injury, federal workers compensation and medical malpractice law.
Jennifer Drecchio, Pre-Litigation Paralegal
Jennifer Drecchio has been with our firm since 2008. She came to our office with 10 years of experience in the legal field. Jennifer handles auto accidents, slip and falls, Worker’s Compensation and general person injury matters. She handles all files with great attention to detail. Part of Jennifer’s daily duties involve investigating client claims, contacting all parties, making the initial claim with the insurance companies, filling out any forms that may be required, getting payments to medical providers and lost wages to clients, helping clients with property damage, getting clients into a rental, calculating damages, preparing files for demand, starting negotiation with insurance companies, and preparing all settlement documents. Jennifer is exceptional at meeting the needs of all our clients.
Rachel Fisher
Rachel Fisher recently joined the firm as a legal secretary and assistant. She graduated Harford Community College Phi Theta Kappa, earned her Aesthetics license from Von Lee International and continues her education at Towson University. Rachel has been a waitress at a local diner to pay for her education. She has gained great experience in dealing with people through her work and educational experience. Rachel is now applying her experience to assisting clients with both pre-litigation and litigation questions and concerns.
Mary Beth Diaz, Litigation Paralegal
Mary Beth Diaz joined our firm in January 2011. Mary Beth has a Bachelors Degree from Johns Hopkins University and an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Anne Arundel Community College and over twenty years of experience. Mary Beth’s extensive paralegal experience is in Plaintiff’s medical malpractice and personal injury cases. Mary Beth is one of the contacts between the attorneys, clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel. Mary Beth has extensive knowledge of the litigation process and has assisted in handling numerous cases which have resulted in multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts.
